How to use Fixed Do and Movable Do Solfège Options

With a worldwide audience comes the need to support worldwide methods of learning music theory. Thus, we’ve added support for choosing between Fixed Do and Movable Do solfège right in the app!

Read on to learn how to choose the method that’s right for you.

Update the app & tap settings

Select “Melody Exercises” from the list and choose the Solfege type from the dropdown

Select either Movable Do or Fixed Do

And that’s it! These setting apply to the following modules and will stay the way you set it until you decide to change it:

Melodies and My Melodies
Melody Editor
Melodic Dictation
