Dictation is hard to teach and even harder to learn, so we’ve added a fun, new way for you to practice identifying the music you hear in NoteNerd: Voice. We call it Pitch Dictation, and you can try it as soon as you update your app!
How to Use NoteNerd’s New Pitch Dictation

Update & open the app
The Pitch Dictation module is lives under General Exercises at the bottom of the Home Screen. Just tap to open. If you don’t see it, just update your app.

Level up your skill as you learn
There are 6 levels of difficulty based on range and note subdivisions with more levels to come in future updates! Which level can you master?

Can you identify the melody?
Listen to the melody and tonic, then tap the score that matches what you heard. Get it right and move on to the next. But listen carefully! You have a limited number of times to play the melody.
Lower levels have fewer choices, while higher levels have more choices and the scores are very similar to each other. Think you can reach level 6!?
Advanced controls give you control over how you learn
Tap the settings gear in the top-right of the screen to adjust the melody tempo and the number of times you can listen to the melody for each exercise.
